How the Process Works from a Medical Point of View

In our programmes, exclusively gestational surrogacy is applied. This means that the embryos are created from the sperm of the biological father and the eggs of a donor, while the surrogate does not contribute her own genetic material. Two women therefore take part, with distinct roles: the egg donor provides the genetic material, and the surrogate carries an embryo with which she has no genetic connection.

This approach is considered the gold standard for several reasons. It ensures the medical and ethical correctness of the procedure: the surrogate carries a child who is biologically unrelated to her, which fundamentally distinguishes her role from motherhood in the usual sense.
