Surrogacy for single men is one of the most demanded directions of our Centre.

Having been engaged in this field for many years we have developed a special strategy for conducting programs to avoid problems of the surrogate mother, as well as of the single dad.

So what is the difference between the surrogacy program for a single man and the treatment of a traditional couple?

First of all, from the legal point of view, the program is more like a contract on childbirth. In this case the surrogate mother and the biological father of the child act as unmarried partners using IVF conception in order to have a child.

Apart from the partners there is one more mandatory participant in the process – the egg donor for single men. The donation may be anonymous, as well as open, when the man has the opportunity to choose a donor and her parameters – height, education, physical characteristics, etc. That is, the surrogate mother is never the biological mother of the child she is carrying. We do not welcome and do not apply traditional surrogacy, when the surrogate mother is also the biological mother of the child.

The embryo transfer under such program is usually carried out outside of Ukraine. The monitoring of pregnancy is carried out in Ukraine and the delivery may take place according to the wishes of the future father and suggestions of the lawyers both in Ukraine and abroad, most often in Europe: in Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, as the geographically closest countries to Ukraine. However, in our practice, there were also cases of delivery in other countries: Spain, Germany, Turkey, etc. – in each case the patient’s situation is analyzed individually, which is part of the legal support of the program.

After birth, the newborn is registered as the child of the genetic father and the woman, which carried the child, who are considered to be its legal parents. Depending on the country of birth, after receiving the birth certificate, we collect one or another set of documents for the departure of the child to the place of permanent residence.

If you later wish to take the path of deprivation of maternal rights, for our part, we will prepare all the documents necessary for the process and will take part until its completion.
